Lifting Up Mom Owned Small Businesses Interview with Mompreneur Becky Beach of MomBeach.com

I love to support other small businesses in any way that I can, especially mompreneurs! We are a dedicated, creative, resourceful, and downright passionate bunch of women.

Introducing Becky Beach

Becky Beach of Mombeach.com

For my first mom owned business, I'm super excited to introduce you to Becky Beach of MomBeach.com! Becky is passionate about teaching other moms how they can earn money online in order to stay home with their children.

Thank you for much for your time and insight Becky! Tell me a little bit about yourself.

Hello, Jen! I'm happy to be here. I'm Becky Beach, a mom of an adorable 4 year old boy named, Bryan, and run side hustle businesses. I have a full time job doing UX design for a Fortune 500 company as well. I enjoy helping other moms start their own businesses and make money online with my blog, MomBeach.com!

How would you describe your job?

My full time job is designing user interfaces and experiences. For my side hustles, I run an online boutique and a blog in order to make extra money for my family.

How did you get the idea for your blog & business?

I had success with my online boutique so wanted to help other moms start their own business too. MomBeach.com was started in 2015, but I never posted anything for years. I decided to start working on it again a year ago.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a new entrepreneur?

You need to believe in yourself in order to achieve your goals. The only thing standing between you and your dreams is you. I know that sounds cliche, but it's very true.

Jen - LOVE THIS!

How do you advertise or get the word out about your business?

I run ads on Facebook and Pinterest. I also use Pinterest's organic reach and implement SEO.

What are your goals for 2020?

I want to start doing more YouTube videos and create courses to help people further. I'm also going to increase my presence on other social media like Instagram and Twitter.

What helps you feel inspired?

I like going to Michaels and other stores to see what journals and planners they are selling. I also subscribe to design magazines like Communication arts and Print.

Jen - I do this too! I have soooo many pictures on my phone of stationery in stores! Fantastic way to get inspiration.

What is your best productivity hack?

I do time blocking in 25 minute increments using a digital egg timer. After 25 minutes, I will get up and stretch then take a brief walk around the room. Sitting for long hours is very bad for your health. If I don't feel like doing anything at all, I will say to myself, "just work on this task for 5 minutes". I will then get caught up in the task and end up doing it for a longer period of time.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would go to Hawaii to visit my aunt, Julie.

What do you love about printables?

I love how interactive they are! They help someone do a particular task more efficiently. It is so easy to print them out immediately after you buy them. There is no waiting for shipping and handling!

Which of your printables is your favorite?

I love my Deluxe Home Binder. The watercolor graphics are from my favorite seller on Etsy, Watercolor Beauty. I have several other printables that use her art as well.
