Does your morning need a complete makeover? Ever wonder why you tend to wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Do you admire how your friends and family always seem to start their day with a positive attitude?
I want you to close your eyes and imagine that your mornings are quiet, relaxed and thoughtful.
Imagine starting your day feeling focused, energized, and with a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. Ah, such sweet serenity.
Starting out your day filled with positive vibes doesn't always come naturally. But I have good news, my friend! It is a habit that can be learned.
This printable Positive Morning Binder is your new best friend. It's your complete solution to start the day the right way!
With this Positive Morning Binder you'll have:
It’ll help you get your toolbox filled with positive ways to start the day and all in a more practical and organized way. And guess what? That fresh new you starts TODAY! It starts the second you purchase your Positive Morning Binder!
If you already have a 3 ring binder around the house, the printable Positive Morning Binder includes different sizes of spines to fit whatever size you have on hand…no need to go out and buy another binder! Just use one you already have and you’re ready to go.
If you do need a binder, you can grab them from Amazon here:
Holy moly, it is so hard to pick only a handful of favorites because they are all so gorgeous and super helpful! But if I had to choose these are some of my favorite printable positivity helpers...
This printable has the perfect morning routine to start your day right. You can check off each task for each day of the week, especially useful as your building your new habit. I've included my prefilled routine plus a blank printable so that you can discover and write your own!
My suggestion for a positive morning routine. Ideally, the first three tasks are done before your feet hit the ground:
"I’m a working mom. I take the train into work. I need something quick, easy, and transportable. Plus, it needs to be budget-friendly, and must hold me over for a number of hours. So, I put together a quick, easy fruit/yogurt/grain/nut bowl every single day." - Monique Tello, MD, MPHMonique Tello, MD, MPH
This printable is so fun because it's a simple reminder that the world doesn't revolve around you (or me). It's so easy to be consumed by what we need and want at any given moment.
I think of it like this - how can I be of service to others? How can I spread joy and kindness instead of selfishness?
Being grateful and having a positive outlook on life doesn't mean sugar-coating bad situations. You're not an ostrich with your head in the sand, so don't gaslight your own emotions and experiences. It's okay and important to walk through difficult feelings. This printable will help you process these difficult or negative emotions.
The habit of writing a morning brain dump is SO freeing and mind-cleansing.
All you have to do is use this printable to write out 1-3 pages of whatever is on your mind. Even if you start out with something like "I have no idea what to write but I know I need to write words so here are some words that just came into my brain."
SERIOUSLY. Just write.
There's no pressure to write perfectly because it's simply journaling your own stream of consciousness. This is the perfect time to declutter and clear out your brain so that you can get a fresh start to the day!
When I first started the habit of making a daily gratitude list, I had no idea what to be grateful for, so I would write simple things like “grateful the sun came up”, “grateful for my pillow” or “I’m thankful for cupcakes”
But you know what? Even though those might seem like silly answers, they were true answers and they got the mindfulness ball rolling. Some days my list still has simple things, like cupcakes, and some days my gratitude list is filled with really deep, meaningful and spiritual answers like, “I’m grateful for every single experience that has led me to this exact moment in my life.”
Some benefits of keeping a gratitude journal include:
When is the last time expressing gratitude and appreciation crossed your mind?
Today? Yesterday? Last week... month.... year?
Use this printable gratitude list to write a few things you are grateful for each day. Some people write their gratitude list at the end of the day, but I prefer to start my morning this way. It'll change your life. Trust me.
“Every day, think as you wake up: today I am fortunate to be alive, I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.” – Dalai Lama
Did you know reading just 15 minutes every morning can instill uplifting messages and positive, life-affirming concepts into your inner dialogue? Reading motivational books is important because it places you in the optimal mindset to start your day with peace, confidence, and inspiration.
What time of day is best for reading?
At night, you're tired from the days' excursions, stressed and your brain is full of all that information. But in the morning, it's a clean slate. You're well-rested and refreshed. This is the best time to read!
Advantages of reading motivational books include:
Use this printable reading tracker to keep a record of all of the best inspirational and motivational books you've read!
It can be so easy to feel lost in a sea of tasks when you're constantly rushing around from one responsibility to the next. You're always running behind, trying to remember the next appointment or other commitment off the top of your head, overwhelmed by all the errands.
No wonder you feel stressed like you'll never catch up and maybe even hopeless.
But there is a better way! Put it all on paper. I've said it once and I'll say it again - there is magic in putting pen to paper.
Take some time each morning to write down and review your plans, tasks, and goals for the day.
