A pregnancy journal is simply a diary that you write in throughout the course of your pregnancy.
You can save it as a keepsake or memoir, or save it as a gift to give your baby when he/she/they are older! How beautiful would that be?!
Basically, anything you want to! Write about your food cravings, food aversions, morning sickness, and any wild dreams you have.
Take notes about doctors appointments, jot down baby name ideas, the possibilities are really endless.
It's always so hard for me to pick just a handful because they are all helpful, but if I had to choose these are my absolute favorite printables that are included in the Pregnancy Journal.
I mean, who doesn't love to take weekly baby bump pictures?!
Keep record of your pregnancy photos week by week and watch that baby bump grow!
Use this printable page to follow your week by week progress. Like how you are feeling, what you're excited about, what fruit or vegetable your growing baby is the size of.
Some of the guided writing prompts included are:
This printable pregnancy weight tracker is very helpful if you want to make sure you are gaining weight appropriately.
I know with my two pregnancies I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum. I was got sick all the time - 6-8 times a day was pretty normal for me, I had serious food aversions, the food I did force myself to eat I barely keep down, hospitalized for dehydration... the "joke" is that if I want to lose weight I need to get pregnant. (Hyperemesis Gravidarum is actually very serious and can be quite debilitating, even my cases weren't as severe as it could of been.)
Each of my pregnancies I lost 25/30 lbs. and slowly started to gain back but only ever gained back to my pre-pregnancy weight.
There is so much to learn when you are a new parent. Some of that information comes by gut instinct and some of it comes from education and research. This is why I love this printable - write down the topics you want to learn more about and then go acquire that knowledge!
Some of my personal favorite topics to share with new parents iscar seat safety and rear-facing as long as possible, thelifelong harms of circumcision, delayed cord clamping, and baby-led weaning.
This printable is such a simple and perfect way to plan out your shopping trips, meals, and think ahead of time for healthy foods choices. That way you are not last minute panic shopping the junk food.
You actually only need about 300 extra calories a day (really it's the vitamins and minerals your body & baby need) - your goal is not to double your intake to “eat for two”.If you're anything like me, you have 5,082 questions for the doctor before your appointment but forgot every single one when you walk through the door.
Well this printable appointment tracked is the solution to that problem!
Write down all your questions for the nurse or doctor, jot down any appointment notes or reminders, and of course keep that sweet ultrasound photo forever!
Of course these printable guided pregnancy journal prompts are included in my favorites!
Record how you found out about the pregnancy, how you felt, even who you told first, all of those first moments and details that you'll want to cherish forever.
